One of the actions that we will be taking, at both Heswall & Pensby Group Practice and Commonfield Road Surgery from 1st September 2024, will be to follow the BMA’s “Safe Working In General Practice” Guidance. This means we will be limiting each clinicians daily patient contacts to  recommended safe working numbers. Further detail about this guidance can be found here:

https://www.bma.org.uk/advice-and-support/gp-practices/managing-workload/safe-working-in-general-practice

Once this patient contact limit has been reached, patients will be directed to an appropriate local service to be assessed.

Myrtle Group Practice is committed to continuing to provide an excellent, professional and safe service to our patients. We believe that the BMA’s campaign is important to protect General Practice and ensure it remains at the heart of NHS healthcare.

Thank you for your support.
