Weight Loss Injections

There has been a lot of interest surrounding weight loss medications via the NHS.

However, access via the NHS is limited and not yet available in our area.

When the injections do become available on the NHS in our area, there will be strict eligibility criteria.

To qualify you will need to have a BMI of 40 or more AND 4 of 5 conditions:

1.    Type 2 diabetes
2.    Hypertension (high blood pressure)
3.    Dyslipidaemia
4.    Established cardiovascular disease
5.    Obstructive sleep apnoea

Otherwise it is available privately.
